Tabriz, as a major city along the Silk Road, became a center for trade and cultural exchange between the East and West. Its strategic location contributed to its prosperity. During the Safavid Dynasty in the 16th century, Tabriz served as the capital of the dynasty for a brief period. Tabriz Bazar is the most beautiful bazar and the only bazar that is considered UNESCO heritage in Iran. Tabriz bazar has the most beautiful trade arcades in Iranian bazars (which are mistakenly called caravanserai). A trade arcade is where people used to sell their products on hand, and it was also a part of the bazar to store non-spoilable goods like carpet, fabric, dried fruits, and so on. Tabriz has many more attractions to visit, but let’s keep them a mystery.
