Yazd (Zoroastrian city)

The living heart of the 7,000-year-old Zoroastrian religion.

Yazd is a city with the largest underground water supply system in the world. The living heart of the ancient Zoroastrian religion of Iran (and where you can see real Zoroastrian people and fire temple). Dolata Abad Garden is a UNESCO heritage site where the world’s first effective air conditioning system was built under the highest wind tower in the world, ice houses to produce and keep ice to use in hot seasons (let me show off, we made ice-cream haha), the ancient tomb of thousands of Zoroastrians, and the highest mosque minaret of Iran all together in Yazd.
