Qazvin is located in northwestern Iran. Qazvin was Iran’s capital city for a short time during the Safavid dynasty before they moved the capital to Isfahan. The city flourished as a political, economic, and cultural center during the Safavid dynasty. Qazvin has many glorious structures, such as mosques, caravanserais, and even churches. Qazvin’s strategic location on the Silk Road contributed to its prosperity, and it became a hub for trade and commerce. During the Qajar dynasty (1796–1925), Qazvin continued to be a prominent city in Iran. It served as a center for trade and diplomacy.
